A trace of Melamine found in one sample of U.S. infant formula, also
After the Chinese dairy industry poisoned almost an entire generation of Chinese infants with Melamine--a toxic substance that disguises the protein content of dairy products and causes kidney damage, the FDA was shaken when it tested and found a trace of melamine in one of 87 tested U.S. products. The FDA has belatedly stopped all Chinese dairy products at the border and received reassurances from American manufacturers that they do not use Chinese ingredients. The one contaminated sample identified had fewer than the 250 parts per billion of melamine which the FDA allows in infant formula.
