Attorney malpractice claim dismissed as not timely filed

The Plaintiff, Tautkus, sued the Saunders and McCroskey Law Firm alleging that they mis-handled his workers compensation claim.  The plaintiff argued that the attorneys improperly failed to calculate the impact of his pension benefits before agreeing to a redemption of his claim.    The claim was redeemed and the attorneys completed their management of his legal services on February 4 of 2011, but did not sue until August of 2013.  He argued that the attorneys cooperation in his pending appeal and other "remedial" actions extended the statute of limitations.  The Court of Appeals disagreed, holding that these services "were precisely the sort of remedial activities a competent lawyer should 'stand ever prepared' to perform for their clients."
