Bankruptcy Trustee and his attorneys enjoy quasi-judicial immunity for allegedly frivolous proceedings.
Grant, Konvalkinka & Harrison, a law firm, sued a bankruptcy trustee and the trustee's attorneys, arguing that they had filed three separate, meritless law suits against the firm for purposes of annoyance or harassment. The Federal Bankruptcy Court dismissed the GKH lawsuits, holdling that they failed to state a legitimate claim for relief. The Sixth Circuit agreed, ruling that the Trustee and his attorneys enjoyed quasi-judicialy immunity similar to the immunity enjoyed by a prosecutor.
