Court of Appeals reduces fire victim's insurance judgment against AAA

Shawana Williams' home burned in 2003.  AAA insured the home and made a partial payment of benefits but refused to pay Williams' demand for related expenses while she could not live at home.  The trial court awarded her damages but did not give AAA the credit it sought for an initial payment.  AAA appealed seeking application of the credit and a reduction of the judgment for living expenses.  The Court of Appeals overturned the lower court's failure to apply the initial credit but upheld the living expense award.
