Court of Appeals reinstates legal malpractice claim after alleged "bullied" settlement
Charles Benson and Nicole Nault sued their attorneys after their attorneys allegedly bullied them into settling a Whistleblower Protection Act claim. They claimed the attorneys had threatened and intimidated them into settling the claim, against their will and their better interests. The attorneys denied the allegations and provided a justification for their settlement recommendation, however, the higher court concluded that the evidence presented a question of fact for jurors.
