Court of Appeals reverses trial judge; requires judge to reconsider City's motion seeking immunity

The City of Grand Rapids sought summary disposition, on the basis of governmental immunity, of Renee Feltner's injury claim.  Feltner sustained injuries requiring surgery to her left leg after she fell on a city sidewalk.  The trial judge refused the City's motion, and declined to grant reconsideration, holding that the City delayed too long in filing it.  The Court of Appeals reversed, holding that it is never too late for a governmental entity to raise the issue of jurisdiction--and immunity.
