Court upholds summary disposition of legal malpractice claim where suggested error did not cause bad outcome
The Court of Appeals ruled this week that a disappointed client couldn't sue the Goldstein Bershad & Fried law firm because the error the client alleged wasn't was caused the outcome in Bankruptcy Court that the client was complaining about. It noted that the negative ruling the client experienced in the Bankruptcy Court occurred without fault on the part of the law firm and, if it was error, could have been corrected by the client with prompt attention.
