Court upholds verdict on behalf of minority shareholder
Rama Madugula sued Benjamin A. Taub and Dataspace, Inc., alleging that they had abused the corporate structure and violated Michigan statutory law by terminating his employment and making other decisions that lacked the 70% "supermajority" shareholder vote required by the Corporate stockholders' agreement. After consideration of the errors alleged by the defendants, the higher court ruled there was ample evidence to support the jury's decision finding "minority shareholder oppression."
