Organ transplants and waiting lists
During the years 2000 through 2004, about 100 Los Angeles residents died annually while awaiting a liver transplant. Nevertheless, during those years, doctors at UCLA transplanted a new liver into a reputed Japanese crime boss, Tadamasa Goto, and three other Japanese crime figures. Goto later donated $100,000.00 to UCLA Medical Center Hospital. The FBI reportedly helped Goto to obtain a Visa in return for information on Japanese criminal activities--information which he reportedly never provided.
Did the FBI also help him avoid the waiting list that condemned to death hundreds of Americans who never got a replacement organ?
