Plaintiff's case dismissed for failing to file witness list or attend pre-trial conference

Clarence King and his wife sued HSBC Bank, but for some reason, neither they nor their lawyer attended a scheduled pre-trial conference.  They also failed to file a witness list.  The Court's decision to dismiss their case as a sanction for non-compliance was upheld on appeal.
