World's largest automaker becomes "world's largest recaller"?

Forbes magazine filed a brief report this week, describing problems experienced at Toyota Motors.  Last year Toyota became the world's largest automaker, before experiencing the first operating loss in its 71-year history. (Apparently it operated at a profit while providing munitions to use against the U.S. throughout World War II?).  This month it has suffered a spate of huge recalls including some involving safety issues.  For example, 1.4 million vehicles were recalled last week to repair seatbelt tensioner defects.  It has also announced large recalls, recently, involving the fuel system and power steering mechanisms.
